Fall 2019 Graduate School Advice for Seniors

Seniors looking for graduate school advice please look at the FAQ page under Graduate School, to see if any of your questions can be answered. ( http://jmucsdundergraduateadvising.blogspot.com/p/faqs.html ) A few questions that I can answer from my own experience will be listed below. I have office hours next week on Wednesday (9/4) from 11am-Noon, if anyone wants advice or needs to talk about the application process! -Kimberly LaVacca, Peer Advisor  What is the last date I should take the GRE? Because of the processing time of the GRE to get your scores, and then send scores to CSDCAS/other applications, I would give yourself AT LEAST two months before your first application is due. But I honestly would not wait, get it done as soon as you can, it will give you a lot of peace of mind. When should I submit my applications? Most of my deadlines were Mid-January, and I had my applications submitted by early December. I know some people who submitted earlier some later

Fall 2019 Peer Advising Note

Hello CSD! This is Kimberly LaVacca, and I will be the Peer Advisor for the undergraduate students this year. I have updated the "Peer Advisor" page with my office hours for the next two weeks, as well as the location for where to meet. Once I know my full schedule I will be able to have consistent hours for the rest of the semester. I look forward to meeting you all and answering any questions!
