PPE: What, When and Why

a Spark Webinar designed to enhance your learning and spark new ideas

We are kicking off the Spring series with an interactive SimNovation video created for Spark by Brandi Burkhart and Lauren Mullen from JMU’s School of Nursing. Case studies will be used to initiate participant discussion of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in different scenarios. Ali Buscher and Anne Martin will lead the webinar and contribute their experience as SLPs at Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital, where they have both additionally taken on roles facilitating PPE use within the hospital. Come ready to learn and discuss how PPE is used by SLPs!

With new students, new faculty, and a new Health and Behavioral Studies building, the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is excited to kick off a new school year! The undergraduate peer advisors would like to introduce one of our newest faculty members, Dr. Geralyn Timler.
